The whole world opened up to me when I learned to read.
— Mary McCleod Bethune

If you're like me, your trips from the library with the kids made people think you were opening your own book store. We usually left with a loaded bag of books. As our kids aged, their attention spans increased, the number of books we read at night grew, and the books got longer. Bedtime reading became quite an investment of time, but looking back and seeing our kids now, I wouldn't change a thing.

This area is designed to encourage you in your parenting/ reading journey. On certain days, the last thing you'll want to do is read to your children, but it's worth it. Keep checking back here for new information supporting the fact that kids need books and when reading matters, great things happen.
